I got on board with the coffee trend on social media during this quarantine. I decided to give a new recipe a try and also make Dalgona Matcha. After doing some research, I found out that you can’t just replace the Instant Coffee with Matcha Green Tea. It won’t react with sugar the same way as the coffee to form the whip. I found that using Aquafaba gives it the same effect. Alternatively, you can also use egg whites. Give them a try and serve them hot or cold.
Dalgona Matcha
Ingredients:
- Aquafaba from one can of Chickpea
- Sugar Mixture: On a stovetop, warm 4 tsp Granulated Sugar and 4 tsp warm Water
- 2 tsp Matcha Green Tea
- Milk or milk alternative of your choice
Dalgona Coffee
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp Instant Coffee
- 2 tsp granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp warm Water
- Milk or Milk alternative of your choice
