Steps for Melting/Depotting Lipsticks

Before you begin, on a piece of paper organize your lipsticks in the order you want to place them in the palette. The palette I am using is Tahiti (24 Sections) by Vueset.

Step 1: Clean your palette and lipsticks with rubbing alcohol

Step 2: Twist and pull your lipstick out of the tube and place it on the clean mixing palette (I used wax paper)

Step 3: Scrape out any lipstick left over

Step 4: Cut or mash the lipstick and place in the @vueset palette

Step 5: Pull off the lipstick label from the tube and place it on the bottom of the palette below the appropriate color (or you can make a new one)

*Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for all of the remaining lipsticks

Step 6: Place the palette (uncovered) in the microwave for 30 secs

Step 7: Pull it out and clean up the sides with a q-tip and get rid of any bubbles with a clean toothpick

*Repeat Steps 6 and 7 until the lipsticks have melted but don’t let it burn.

(I repeated the process 5 times with a total of 3 mins)
